THE BOG SNORKELLERS
Cool, crisp air whistles through rustling woodland. Ripples fan out across the water of Lenches Lake. We’re in Evesham for a bog snorkellers’ training session. Julia, Neil, Lisa, Miranda, Louise and Shawn are all regulars at the bog snorkelling World Championships.
Some have smashed world records. Others are renowned for their elaborate cardboard costumes. All of them dive bog-wards with enthusiasm. And a love for the muddy unknown.

THE SURF SEEKERS
Salt-streaked cliffs rise above, fringed with windswept grass and wildflowers. Crisp autumn air carries the tang of sea spray. Waves crash noisily onto the golden expanse of Great Western Beach. It’s October and we’re in Newquay, Cornwall. In the heart of the UK’s surf scene, where tiny wetsuited figures paddle out to meet the Atlantic swell. Rise, ride, wipeout and repeat.
Among them are the Women + Waves collective: Rachel, Lisa, Claire, Kitty, Sammy and Sarah. To them, surfing is more than a sport. It’s a shared rhythm. A celebration of community. And a transformative space for women.

THE HAPPY (VAN) CAMPERS
It’s a brisk, blustery day in June (thanks British summertime). And we’re sheltering in two cosy campervans, parked up in East Sussex, squinting into the distance for a glimpse of the Telscombe Cliffs.
Alongside us are two couples: full-time motorhomers Sandra & Phil and part-time motorhomers, Alice & Gemma. They’re here to tell us all about campervan life: from creepy-crawlies at rest stops to seeing the big wide world, one campsite at a time.

THE WOMEN SHED-ERS
It’s a sunny day in Somerset, and we’ve found ourselves at the Frome Women’s Shed, a supportive space to meet and make new things, whether it’s friendships or bird boxes.
To celebrate International Women’s Day, we sat down for a chat with the Shed-ers on empowered women, woodworking and helping the local community. (And the importance of keeping the biscuits stocked up.)

THE SILENT (ISH) BOOK CLUB
It’s a rainy winter’s day in Oxford and we’re nestled inside a cosy pub. Decked out in fairisle knits, heads buried in novels, are the Silent Book Club. They’ve created a space for reading alone while being together.
We’ve sat down for a chat on introversion, book recommendations and community. And to, of course, break the silence.

Mind the (Feelings) Gap: why the 3-month mark might be more important than you think
You’d think, 30 years on from Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, that we’d have finally figured out
a) what on Earth (wahey) that title means
b) the differences between men and women in relationships
c) a simpler way to talk about all things love.
Well, not so.
